This family was looking to do a family photo shoot during a vacation in Tuscany. They were staying at a villa near Arezzo with their son and their parents and were looking for something relaxed and close by their villa, that was immersed in the countryside and surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. Distance from the villa was something we had to think about because of the baby that was 9 months old, so I went there few hours in advance and scouted the whole area.
Walking, driving, taking sample pictures I found a road sign saying “Il Borro” and I remembered of the Ferragamo estate. I immediately turned my car and raced over there. Once there, I fell in love with this village, a place like no other. Bought in 1993 by Ferruccio Ferragamo for an enduring act of faith, as he likes to say, this ancient place was extensively refurbished and brought back to life preserving its traditions and history while at the same time making those improvements that make this place the perfect continuum between past, present and future, other than a super photogenic location!
We had a walk around the ancient village of Il Borro and the we headed back to their villa, where we met the grandparents and enjoyed the sunset taking a few more photos amongst the olive trees.
Thanks Marta! These are so amazing we absolutely love them – thank you for capturing everything so well!
