Vows renewal at Villa Monastero, Lake Como

We picked Marta to photograph our vow renewal during our recent trip to Varenna. From our first communication via email, she was extremely helpful and provided valuable information on different locations, along with their process, procedures, and costs.

We were fearful that bad weather would be a factor, as we booked several weeks in advance. Marta was able to calm our fears by stating she could be flexible should there be bad weather on the day of our renewal. Thankfully, we had a beautiful sunset at Villa Monastero and weather was never a factor. Marta made us feel relaxed while taking photos, and was able to capture our love in every picture. She is very talented, and gives great direction. Beginning to end, we couldn’t have had a better experience!

My boyfriend and I travel to Italy each summer but we never return with any nice photos of the two of us, so this year I decided to book a photoshoot with Marta in Bellagio. Marta had excellent communication in the days leading up the shoot - she answered all of my questions, made wardrobe suggestions and even sent a detailed list of beautiful places on Lake Como where we could take the photos. I was searching for a professional photographer to take family portraits during our vacation and really liked the work Marta posted on her website. Unfortunately, we ran into some travel issues and had to rearrange our session with her. She was most accommodating - even traveling down to meet us in Tuscany and going down a day early to scope out locations for our photo shoot! We eventually selected a site she recommended in a small town called Certaldo, and the pictures turned out terrific! She listened to what we wanted in our photos and, being very personable and friendly, made our five year-old daughter feel very comfortable during the session.
