Karen & Jesse were travelling from Vancouver, Canada, to Lake Como, Italy, for their engagement/elopement photos. They had a civil ceremony in Canada with their families present to take care of the legal aspect, but Lake Como was their private romantic getaway for just the two of them. Neither of them have been to Lake Como, or Italy in general, but just through my pictures they have fallen in love with the architecture, the gardens, and the lake and that’s why they decided to come to celebrate their love right here.
They wanted the photos to show the love for each other with the charm of Lake Como. The villas are so romantic, the archways, the greenery, the garden, the scenery… they wanted to showcase them as best as possible, so I suggested to set the session in Bellagio because it combines all these elements and everything is within walking distance. Cobblestone streets lead to a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Como from Bellagio, fondly referred to as the pearl of the Lake.
It was late May and the nature was in full bloom, the light was perfect and the couple was explosive. I had a lovely time photographing them and hope our paths will cross again in the future!
