One day in my inbox I found an email from Donnally saying that she was traveling to Italy with her husband for their 5th year anniversary and that they would have loved to do a lifestyle shoot to commemorate their time in Italy.
She wanted the pictures to have a very candid feel, images that look like moments that naturally happened as she had a lot of pictures of them that she would have described as portrait shots, but not a lot of candid pictures. She told me that when she looks back at their wedding photographs, her favorites are the ones that captured a moment: those are the pictures that she cherishes the most. When she would have looked back at their Italy pictures, she would have loved to see pictures of them holding hands, exploring a city they’ve never been to, and her husband making her laugh along the way.
She asked my thoughts on where they should do the session as their plan was to travel to Venice, Cinque Terre, Tuscany, Amalfi Coast and Rome and her email ended in these words: fingers crossed you say YES!
I sent her some itineraries and some galleries of sessions I’ve done at these locations and she told me that it looked like the couples had the whole city to themselves, so we decided to take the photos at sunrise in Venice. What could have been more romantic?
