Venice, my favorite. How can you not love it? With its pastel colors, the charming buildings, the canals, the countless bridges, the views that leave you breathless, the panoramic terraces from which you can enjoy enjoy stunning views.
Once a client asked me what was my favorite location for a photo shoot in Italy. Without hesitating for a moment, I replied: “Venice!”. I then wondered why such an instinctive answer as my country is so full of wonderful locations that there are so many choices. However. However I feel that Venice is so close to my artistic vision, so perfect for my romantic and delicate soul. I feel such great strength and inspiration when I walk through its streets, when I intentionally loose myself among its canals. I feel the desire to get to know this city better every time I go back, I want to discover every corner, to find a most beautiful square where to photograph my clients, an intimate corner where to let them pervade with beauty. And love.
Does this city really have something more than the others? In my opinion, yes. It has something more for me and my eyes, something that you can see in my photographs.
I don’t need to tell you how enthusiastic I am with this honeymoon session with such a sweet American couple, it was pure poetry. Jessica and I emailed a little to organize their photo shoot in Venice and we were immediately in tune. One day she sent me an email with a picture of a bridge on which they would have liked to take some photos and I was amazed because, despite more than 400 bridges, I knew exactly where it was. Incredible harmony.
I proposed them some itineraries, and they chose a walk at dawn between the central streets. We met in Piazza San Marco at early morning, to miss the crowds and take advantage of the golden and soft light, and from there we started our tour around the most popular places and corners for true connoisseurs. We ended the honeymoon shooting with a gondola tour around the Canal Grande that had been such an unforgettable experience for them.
